Athletic History: I began running and BMX racing when I was 6. I excelled at
both cycling and running and raced both through high school. I also was a
Nationally competitive Nordic skier. I ran in college at Adams State College
under '88 and '08 USA Olympic National Team Coach Dr. Joe Vigil. I came to
triathlon after becoming disenchanted with running in the spring of '98. I had
been racing bikes and running pro, triathlon seemed like the logical
progression. I only wish I had started triathlon earlier.
Education: B.S. Exercise Science, University of Colorado
Other Interests: Auto racing, my dad was a professional drag racer and I
grew up on dragstrips across the country. I have always been and will always
be a big fan of almost any type of auto racing, particularly, F1, NHRA,
NASCAR, Moto-GP, Rally, etc.
Real Football (ie Soccer), Cycling, Running, Swimming, Nordic Skiing, Tennis,
even a little Golf. I am a fan of pretty much any sport other than most of the stick and ball stuff, although I will watch some college Football here an there.
Cooking, Film, Writing, I might be forgetting something.
